Email hello@justyouapp.com. Tell us what's going on and, if relevant, the iOS version and JustYou build (Settings → About). We don't have a phone line and we don't use a third-party support platform — the address above goes straight to us.
Common questions
I forgot my PIN. How do I get back in?
JustYou's PIN is hashed locally with PBKDF2-SHA-256 and stored in the iOS Keychain. We cannot recover it — that would defeat the point of the lock. The only way back in is to start over: Settings → Privacy → Delete all data wipes the database, the PIN, and the encryption key, then returns the app to its first-launch state so you can set a new PIN.
How do I restore Premium on a new device?
Sign into the same Apple ID that bought Premium, install JustYou, and tap Restore Purchases in
Settings → Premium or on the paywall. Apple's AppStore.sync() refreshes your entitlement
and JustYou flips your local state from Free to Premium automatically.
Where is my data stored? Can JustYou see it?
On your iPhone, encrypted at rest by iOS Data Protection. The cryptographic keys are derived from your device passcode and held in the Secure Enclave; without your passcode, nobody — not us, not Apple, not someone with the physical device — can decrypt the file. If you enable iCloud sync (Premium), an encrypted copy is also stored in your own private CloudKit container under your Apple ID. That container is yours, not ours; we do not have a JustYou server and cannot read its contents.
Can I export everything?
Yes. Settings → Privacy → Export all data offers four formats: TXT and CSV on the free plan, plus Markdown and PDF on Premium. The export is delivered via the standard iOS share sheet so you can email it to yourself, save it to Files, or AirDrop it to a Mac.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings → Premium → Manage subscription opens Apple's subscription management sheet. You can also go straight to App Store → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → JustYou Premium → Cancel. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the end of the current period stops the renewal; you keep Premium until that period ends. Lifetime is a one-time purchase; there's nothing to cancel.
The 7-day free trial isn't showing. Why?
Apple limits each Apple ID to one trial per subscription group, ever. If you've previously taken a trial on JustYou Premium on your Apple ID, the trial banner won't appear again, in line with App Store policy. The annual plan is still available; the trial just doesn't apply.
Does JustYou work offline?
Almost entirely. The only features that touch the network are CloudKit sync (Premium, opt-in) and optional link previews (off by default). Everything else — capture, search, voice transcription, OCR, reminders — works without any connectivity.
Why doesn't the Watch app do anything yet?
Version 0.1 ships the Watch companion as a placeholder that signs and installs alongside the iPhone app, so the slot exists for the upcoming quick-capture release. Full Watch capture is on the roadmap for an early follow-up. In the meantime your iPhone widget and the share sheet cover the same ground.
