Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the JustYou iOS app and any Premium subscription. The agreement is between you and JustYou (“we”, “us”, “JustYou”). By installing or using the app you accept these terms; if you don't, please don't use the app.
1. The Apple-mandated EULA — in addition to these terms
Apple requires every iOS app distributed via the App Store to grant you a baseline End User Licence Agreement. Apple's standard EULA applies to JustYou alongside these custom terms; the two are complementary and where they overlap, whichever is more protective of you applies. You can read Apple's standard EULA at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
2. What you can do
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run JustYou on iOS devices you own or control, for your own use. Premium unlocks additional features for the duration of your subscription or for the lifetime of the app, as described in Pricing.
3. What you can't do
- You can't reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise try to derive the source code, except where local law expressly permits it.
- You can't sublicense, resell, or redistribute the app.
- You can't try to circumvent the StoreKit purchase flow to unlock Premium without paying.
- You can't use the app for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
4. Your content stays yours
JustYou is local-first. The notes, reminders, lists, links, photos, and voice notes you create in JustYou belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content, and (because we do not run a server) we do not have a copy of it. If you enable iCloud sync, your content is stored in your own Apple-owned iCloud account; that storage is governed by Apple's terms.
5. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
Premium is offered as either a recurring subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. By tapping a purchase button you authorise Apple to charge the payment method on file for your Apple ID.
- Monthly subscription — £2.99 (or local equivalent) charged at the start of each month. Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Annual subscription — £24.99 (or local equivalent) charged at the start of each year. Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The trial converts to a paid period unless cancelled before it ends. Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Lifetime — £59.99 (or local equivalent) one-time purchase. Does not auto-renew. Grants Premium features for the lifetime of the JustYou app on your Apple ID.
You can view, manage, and cancel any subscription at any time in App Store → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, or directly from inside JustYou (Settings → Premium → Manage subscription). Refunds are handled by Apple under their normal policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
6. Restore purchases
Premium is tied to your Apple ID. If you reinstall the app, change device, or sign into a new
Apple ID that previously purchased Premium, tap Restore Purchases in Settings → Premium (or on the
paywall) to re-link your entitlement. This calls Apple's AppStore.sync(); we do not have
a separate account system to migrate.
7. Changes to features and pricing
We may add, change, or remove features in JustYou over time. We will not silently move a feature you relied on at purchase out of the tier you bought it on; if a Premium feature moves to Free, you keep it; if a Free feature would become Premium, we will let existing users keep using it on their current device under their existing tier.
We may change subscription pricing for future renewals. Apple will notify you of any subscription price increase and ask for your consent before charging the new amount.
8. Termination
You can stop using JustYou at any time by deleting the app from your device. You can also wipe all your local data via Settings → Privacy → Delete all data. We can terminate your licence to use the app if you breach these terms in a way that meaningfully affects us; in practice this is reserved for abuse cases.
9. Disclaimers
JustYou is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all defects will be corrected.
Nothing in these terms limits any consumer right you have that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to JustYou is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Premium in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) £20. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of data — please make sure you periodically export your data via Settings → Privacy → Export all data.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
